Air Chief Marshall Thares Punsri is the current Chairman of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission of Thailand. Prior to starting his position, he spent years as the Director of Air Force Operations from 1997 to 1998, Chief of the Air Staff from 2001 to 2005, Deputy Secretary of Defense from 2006 to 2008, Members of the National Assembly from 2006 to 2007 and Chairman of the Defense Technology Institute from 2009 to 2011. Air Chief Marshall Thares Punsri received the B.Sc. (Aerospace Engineering) from Royal Thai Air Force Academy. He holds the degree and certificates from a diverse range of educational program including Royal Air Force Command and Staff Colleges in England, National Defense College, Corporate Governance course for directors and senior executives of state enterprises and public organisations, Professional Development Institute (PDI), and Advance Management program, Capital Market Academy, (CMA).
Brenton Burchmore is a professor, educational designer, game designer,technologist, entrepreneur and CEO of the Lascivio Group of companies. His diverse background gives Brenton rare insight into nearly every aspect of the modern learning paradigm. Brenton has designed, built and delivered university Masters Programs, Massive Online Open Courses for thousands of students, corporate e learning programs, online and offline games, and social networks. In Serious Gamer, Brenton has 30 years game mastering experience and has spent a decade organizing major games conventions in Australia. In Serious Games Technology, Brenton has developed Perdoco, a learning theory using games, and performs public speaking on serious games. He is also an experienced senior management executive who has led teams, projects and businesses involved in Internet technology and online media. Brenton has extensive experience in merging the practical, technical and commercial objectives of online and interactive projects or businesses. In Research, Brenton has investigated all aspects of digital UX interaction, game based learning and digital learning, and various technology applications.
Prayoot Akkaraekthalin was born in Nakorn Pathom, Thailand. He received the B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in Electrical Engineering from King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), Thailand, in 1986 and 1990, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Delaware, Newark, USA, in 1998. From 1986 to 1988, he worked in the Microtek Co.Ltd., Thailand, as a research and development engineer. In 1988, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering KMUTNB, as instructor. His current research interests include passive and active circuits and telecommunication systems. Dr. Prayoot is members of IEEE, IEICE Japan, and ECTI Thailand. He was the Chairman for the IEEE MTT/AP/ED Thailand Joint Chapter during 2007 and 2008. He served as the President for the ECTI Association from 2014 to 2015, Thailand. He is now working on the Senior Research Scholar Project for Communications and Related Technology under the grant from Thailand Research Fund.
Prof. Dr. Frederic Noel was graduated on Engineer in Mechanics from the ENSHMG: Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Hydraulique et de Mécanique, The School of Hydraulic and Mechanics since 1991. In 1994, he gained his doctoral degree in Mechanics: Mailleur auto-adaptatif pour des surfaces gauches en vue de la conception intégrée – Auto-adaptive free-form surface mesher for integrated design. In 1995, he had got the associate professor from the University Joseph Fourier (Grenoble 1) and become a Professor at Grenoble-INP since 2004. As his Scientific activities, he has been working on the development tools for the manufactured product design in which have been undertaken in these 3 topics: 1. CAD-Simulation link: about this topic tools to mesh CAD models and thus to enhance the link between CAD and Simulation were the initial development with a first tool able to automatically mesh CAD parts on a patch independent mode. Applications to design optimization with meshes evolving with CAD parameters were also undertaken. Applications to mechanics simulations but also to visualizations simulation were proposed. 2. Product modeling: participation to the development of a national platform named IPPOP, integrating models for Product, Process and Organization dedicated to integrated design. This theme opened actions towards Model Driven Engineering applied to design activities. 3. Visualization and Interaction: the current period, he moves towards topic where 3D visualization and new interaction methods can be used for collaborative design. As scientific responsibilities, he was the lead of the Collaborative Design team at G-SCOP (9 permanents researchers) during 2007 to 2011. And in 2008 to 2009, he was the lead of the SIM-SYPROD action (Region Rhônes Alpes Action) : clustering efforts about information systems dedicated to production system during 2008 to 2009. From 2011: Lead of the VISIONAIR European project: VISIONAIR (VISION Advanced Infrastructure for Research) is an European infrastructure project to support research activities that use advanced visualization and interaction tools (virtual reality, augmented reality, high definition, network communication and remote collaborative interaction, etc). VISIONAIR clusters 25 European partners’ from 12 countries.
Takao Onoye received B.E. and M.E. degrees in Electronic Engineering, and Dr.Eng. degree in Information Systems Engineering all from Osaka University, Japan, in 1991, 1993 and 1997, respectively. He has worked as a faculty member of Osaka University and Kyoto University for more than 20 years. He is presently a professor and dean of Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, Osaka University. He has also taken various volunteer positions in IEEE, such as CAS Society board of governors, Region 10 Treasurer, Region 10 Vice Chair for Technical Activities.
